Fluttershy loves all animals like a mother loves her children. But one day, she finds an egg that hatches to reveal a baby changeling. Despite what happened during the royal wedding, Fluttershy decides to raise the little changeling as her own. But will her friends be as accepting as she is?

Everypony should be with their family on Hearths Warming Eve. So when Fluttershy sees Scootaloo being bullied for being an orphan, she makes it her mission to give Scootaloo a home for Hearths Warming.

When Fluttershy and her friends come back from their mis-led adventure conducted by the Master of Chaos as well as her best friend, Fluttershy decides that maybe now should be the time to have a talk with the draconequus. Realizing that there are things that even she doesn't know about Discord, Fluttershy comes to the conclusion that it's always better to be open about your feelings...no matter what.

Thorne finds out about how afraid Fluttershy is of Nightmare Night. He sees it as an opportunity to go on a date with her while Discord is away on business for the Princesses. As he takes her out to a Nightmare Night she won't forget, Discord returns early and becomes infuriated when he hears what Throne is doing, leading the Knights and Mane 6 on a chase.

After the gala incident, Discord has earned more frowns from ponies who don't trust him, Diamond Tiara included. Fluttershy decides to take him, Tree Hugger, and the Smooze to dinner to cheer him up, but when he still feels depressed. Fluttershy decides to take her to the one place she knows will cheer him up and bring the two closer.

Fluttershy is hybrid vampire, but unlike the other vampires, she has a thirst for apples instead of blood. All her life, she'd had to keep quiet about her vampire side. But the truth can only be hidden for so long. Fluttershy will face many challenges as she begins to confront her true self. Will she accept the pony she sees? Or the feelings within her heart?

Ever since Fluttershy met the ever-mysterious yet strangely charming Opera Ghost, she can’t help but look back on all those rumors whispered by her fellow performers. After the events of Angelic Vampire, Fluttershy has enjoyed the new and happier life she has with her new friends, and has even begun to explore her feelings toward Discord. But, all of that changes, at the sudden appearance of...her brother?! It's been a couple of years since Discord, Luna and Celestia teamed up to fight their boredom. Every month on the first Tuesday they take over Equestria but last month they went too far. In their efforts to win the flag Discord turned Princess Twilight into a quesadilla. Now Princess Twilight is bent on revenge and will win no matter what it takes.

Is it necessary to read The Switch? No, I think you could figure out what's happening. Would it make more sense to do so? Yes.
